I received my degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the Univ. of Crete (2011-2015). I also hold aMSc in Protein Biotechnology; the relevant research work has been carried out at the Biosensors Lab, Univ. of Crete (2015-2017), under the supervision of Prof. E. Gizeli.
Aristea Grammoustianou
PhD Student
PhD student working on the development of diagnostic systems that can be applied in healthcare and food safety. Previous: BSc in Biology (AUTH, Greece) and MSc in Molecular Cell Biology (VU, Amsterdam, Netherlands).
Georgia Kaprou
PhD Student
I hold a Chemical Engineering degree (NTUA, 2010); a MSc in Biotechnology (Univ. of Edinburgh) and a PhD co-supervised by Dr A. Tserepi (NCSR "Demokritos") and Prof. E. Gizeli (Univ. of Crete). Research interests: design, fabrication and evaluation of microfluidic devices and lab-on-chip platforms for biochemical and medical applications.
Dr. Vasilios Raptis

Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens; MSc in Polymer Science and applications and PhD in Chemistry, both from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently working on the micro- and mesoscopic simulation of the solid-liquid interface of acoustic sensors.
Gesthimani-Ioanna Theodosi
Master student
Master student in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine. She has worked on the development of diagnostic systems for the detection of tumor DNA. Holds BSc in Biology from the University of Crete.
